MARVELA

Vervaet is proud to be part of MARVELA, a Horizon Europe project dedicated to monitoring, reporting and mitigating non-CO2 greenhouse gas emissions and related air pollutants in agriculture. Within the consortium, Vervaet contributes its expertise in precision manure application by integrating advanced Near-Infrared (NIR) sensor technology directly into its machines.

This allows real-time measurement of key slurry parameters such as nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium, dry matter and organic matter content, enabling farmers to apply manure precisely where and how much is needed. The result is more efficient fertilization and a meaningful reduction in nitrous oxide and ammonia emissions.
